REMINDER: Meal Tickets are required for breakfast and lunch in the Institute Dining Hall. Do not ask the cashiers to let you through the line without your meal ticket. Every participant has been given the correct number of meal tickets for their stay – please be sure to have one with you when you come to the Dining Hall for breakfast or lunch.

 

Please confirm your departure reservations. If you are taking the Airporter shuttle back to the airport, please confirm your departure information by initialing the sheet posted on the PCMI message board. PCMI cannot be responsible for unconfirmed travel arrangements. If there are any problems with your arrangements as posted, please contact Kirstie in the PCMI Office immediately so that there is adequate time to make the necessary changes (ext. 8025 or kvenanzi@ias.edu).

 

Nametags! Please wear your nametag every day. PCMI emphasizes interaction among all participants, and nametags help to facilitate this important aspect of our program. We appreciate the cooperation of all PCMI participants.

 

The shuttle bus schedule is timed according to the clock on the tower of Fuld Hall – we ask that everyone using the shuttle please be aware of the time on the Fuld Hall clock.

 

Background Questionnaires (found in your welcome packet) should be turned in to the box on the table near the PCMI Message Board (upper level of the Dining Hall). The background questionnaires are important to the process of assessing how well PCMI works, and we appreciate your taking a few minutes to fill it out and submit it.

 

The Computer Lab is open for general use 12:30 p.m. to 9:00 a.m. Monday through Friday, and all day on weekends. Due to fire code restrictions on the capacity of the combined Dilworth Room space, the lab is closed for general use from 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. each weekday while the High School Teacher Program is in session. We appreciate your cooperation in this important matter. The lab is located in the Dilworth Room on the lower level of the Dining Hall. Please note that you will need your Institute Access Card in order to get into the Dining Hall after hours.

 

PCMI T-Shirts and tote bags are for sale in the PCMI office. T-shirts come in either white or gray, and are $10.00 each. Sizes are S, M, L, XL, and XXL – sizes S and XXL are limited. The tote bags are made of canvas duck, and are $5.00 each. Both T-shirts and tote bags are available in the PCMI office during regular office hours. They will occasionally be sold at lunch time, next to the PCMI message board, and at the pizza parties on July 28 and August 4. Quantities of some items are limited. Note: cash and check only.

 

The PCMI Office is located at 95 Morse Lane, in the housing complex. This is adjacent to the laundry room and is entered through the door underneath the carport. Office hours are 8:15-5:00 on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays, and 8:15-1:00 on Wednesdays. Phone: 8140 from any house phone or 734-8140 from the outside.

 

Coffee and Tea are available daily in the Coffee Lounge (mid-level of the Dining Hall) from 9:30-11:30 a.m. There are water fountains in all buildings on the campus.

 

We ask that no beverages or food be taken into the computer lab or any of the lecture halls or meeting rooms. Thank you!
