|
PARTICIPANTS WILL BE GIVEN A WELCOME PACKET AT REGISTRATION CONTAINING DETAILED INFORMATION ABOUT THE PROGRAM AND THEIR STAY AT THE INSTITUTE. BELOW WE HAVE SUMMARIZED KEY POINTS OF INTEREST, HOWEVER PARTICIPANTS ARE ENCOURAGED TO CAREFULLY REVIEW THEIR PACKET CONTENTS UPON ARRIVAL FOR UP-TO-DATE AND COMPLETE DETAILS.
Arrival & Registration If you arrive at the Institute before 2:00 p.m. on July 8, your apartment key will be held with the Public Safety Officer at the Reception Desk which is located immediately on your right as you enter Fuld Hall (the main building with the clock tower). If the Officer is not at Reception (behind the glass window) when you arrive, please use the phone on the desk in the lobby and dial 5460. If you reach voicemail, please leave a message and the Officer will come to Fuld Hall to assist you, generally within 20 minutes of your call. Please give the Officer your name, tell him that you are a participant in the PiTP Program, and let him know you would like to pick up your apartment key. Please note, you are still required to come to Registration Sunday afternoon to receive your Welcome Packet and turn in your housing payment. If you plan to arrive after 7:45 p.m. on July 8, or if travel delays unexpectedly cause you to arrive after 7:45 p.m., your registration materials and apartment key will be held with the Public Safety Officer at the Reception Desk located immediately on your right as you enter Fuld Hall (the main building with the clock tower). You also may ask the Officer to drive you with your luggage to your on-campus apartment. Please note, your housing payment would then be required to be turned in to the Program Business Office on Monday morning (see Business Office & Staff below). If you need to notify us about travel difficulties on July 8, you may email Susan Higgins (shiggins@ias.edu) or leave a message on her office voicemail (1-609-734-8198). She will check her messages periodically during that afternoon and that evening (up until 8:00 p.m.). If you need immediate help with a travel question, however, and it is between 2:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m., you can try calling her on the lobby phone in Bloomberg Hall, 1-609-951-4600. This phone does not have voicemail, however, so you cannot leave a message if she does not answer. After 8:00 p.m., you may leave a message for Susan on her email or office voicemail and she will retrieve it the next morning. Business
