Arrival Information
Housing Check-In (Sunday, July 14th)

Participants housed in the Institute campus may arrive anytime that is convenient starting on Sunday, July 14th. You may pick up your apartment keycard and welcome materials from the Public Safety Officer at the Reception Desk in Fuld Hall (the main building on campus, with the clock tower). The Reception Desk is on your right as you enter the front doors of Fuld Hall. A map of campus house is available here.

If the officer is not at Reception when you arrive, please use the phone on the table in the lobby and dial 5460. The officer will either answer or you can leave a message and someone will come within 20 minutes to assist you. Please give the officer your name and let him know that you are a participant in the PiTP program staying in an Institute apartment. He will give you your key and welcome packet including you name badge, which will function as your meal ticket starting with breakfast on Monday, July 15th.  Please wear your name badge at ALL times.

Check-in for IAS housing will open at 10:00 am on Sunday, July 14th at Fuld Hall, and check-out will be by 10:00 am on Friday, July 26th.  Luggage may be stored in Bloomberg Hall during the final lecture sessions of the program. Please note, the program will begin at 9:30 am on Monday, July 15th with an introduction by Arnold Levine, and end following lunch (12:45 pm 2:00 pm) on Friday, July 26th.

General Information

Institute apartments are self-housekeeping and have full baths and a full kitchen. There are no televisions in the apartments. If you encounter any problems with your apartment, please call the housing office (extension 8230 or +1-609-734-8230 from a cell phone). If you are calling in the evenings or on weekends, please leave a voicemail. Your concern will be addressed the following business day.

If you wish to exchange your used linens or towels for a clean set, of if you need additional cleaning supplies, paper towels, toilet tissue or Kleenex, please visit the Housing Office in the Activities Center any weekday from 8:00 - 9:00 am or from 4:00 - 5:00 p.m.

Emergency Information

For an electrical, plumbing, heating or mechanical emergency that may occur over in the evening or over the weekend, please call the Public Safety Officer on duty by dialing extension 5460 or calling +1-609-947-5940 from a cell phone.

For police, fire or medical emergencies, please call 911 first and then call the Public Safety Officer on duty.

Internet Access

Use of a laptop or other personal computing devices on the IAS network requires the completion of a small registration procedure. It is not necessary, or even possible, to register before your visit. When you arrive, select IAS from the available wireless SSID's. The registration page will automatically appear when an Internet browser is launched. Click "Continue as Guest." Your system will be registered (this process may take a minute or two). If participants encounter any difficulty, instructions can be found here.

The apartments are also wired with Ethernet jacks.

Laundry

There is a self-service laundry facility in the Activities Center on Morse Lane in the IAS Housing complex. To use the machines, you will need to load money (cash only) onto your housing keycard at Reception (open weekdays from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm).

Parking

Parking is available near the apartments, as well as in Lots A and B on the Institute's Campus.

Telephone Use

Participants should bring a cell phone with an activated international calling plan, if necessary. The phone in the apartments allows for internal, on-campus calls or Emergency calls only. If you need to use the apartment phone for an emergency, dial 9-911. Please see the Emergency Information section for more details.
