Traveling by Train

If traveling to Princeton by train, you may take AMTRAK (http://www.amtrak.com/home) or New Jersey Transit (http://www.njtransit.com) into the Princeton Junction, New Jersey station. If the AMTRAK schedule into Princeton Junction is not convenient, you may also take AMTRAK to the Trenton, New Jersey station and then take a New Jersey Transit train to the Princeton Junction station.

From the Princeton Junction station, you may either take a taxicab (at the cost of about $20 USD) or the New Jersey Transit shuttle train (sometimes referred to as the DINKY) from the Princeton Junction station to the Princeton station and walk to the Institute or your program housing at Princeton Univsersity. (We will provide participants staying in program housing with further details when we notify them of their specific housing assignments shortly before the start of the program.)

IMPORTANT NOTE: As of January 8, 2018, service on the NEC and NJCL will be adjusted to accommodate Amtrak track rehabilitation work at New York Penn Station. During this time, schedules will be modified. Other train lines may have slight adjustments.
